TiCi NatureLab is a science-driven organisation, headquartered at Satashi, Kathaltala, Near Durga Mandir, Jagacha, Howrah, West Bengal — 711112, India. We operate three verticals:
- Aquatic & Biophilic Commercial Solutions: Design, installation and maintenance of aquatic and nature-based ecosystems for commercial, institutional, and hospitality environments.
- TiCi Nature Academy: Professional training and certification programs in aquatic ecosystems, horticulture, and applied life sciences.
- TiCi Biotech (Selagen Biotech): Applied research in wildlife biotechnology, conservation science, and population genomics.
3. Services & Scope of Work
All services provided by TiCi NatureLab are subject to a formal agreement or scope of work document shared prior to project commencement. The scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing are defined in the project proposal or agreement signed by both parties.
- Services are customised to each client's requirements and environmental conditions. Results may vary based on site conditions, maintenance adherence, water quality, and environmental factors beyond our control.
- We reserve the right to decline any project or service request at our discretion.
- Any changes to agreed scope after project commencement may attract additional charges and revised timelines, communicated in writing before implementation.
4. Quotes, Proposals & Payments
Quotes and proposals provided by TiCi NatureLab are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Acceptance of a quote must be confirmed in writing (email or signed document).
- Projects typically require an advance payment as per the agreed payment schedule. Work commences only after receipt of the advance amount.
- All prices are exclusive of applicable GST unless specifically stated.
- Payments are non-refundable once work has commenced, except as specifically agreed in writing.
- Delayed payments may attract interest or result in suspension of services.
- Online store purchases are governed by the payment terms on the store platform.
5. Project Execution & Timelines
Estimated timelines are provided in good faith and are subject to factors including site readiness, material availability, seasonal conditions, and client cooperation. TiCi NatureLab is not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control including but not limited to logistics disruptions, import delays, or site access issues.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring site access and readiness as per the agreed schedule.
- Any delay caused by the client that affects the project timeline may result in revised delivery dates and additional costs.
- TiCi NatureLab will make every reasonable effort to communicate progress, delays, and milestones throughout the project.
6. Maintenance & AMC
Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and periodic maintenance services are governed by a separate maintenance agreement. Key terms include:
- AMC covers scheduled visits, routine ecosystem checks, and minor corrective actions as defined in the agreement.
- Damage caused by client interference, negligence, power failures, or pest infestations may not be covered under AMC and may be billed separately.
- Clients must notify us promptly of any system issues. Delayed reporting that results in greater damage may affect warranty or service coverage.
- AMC is non-transferable and applicable to the specific installation address unless otherwise agreed.
7. Products & Online Store
Products sold through our online store (shop.ticinaturelab.com) are subject to the following:
- Live plants and organisms: As living products, survival cannot be guaranteed post-delivery due to handling, transit, and environmental conditions. Claims for damaged or dead-on-arrival plants must be raised within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.
- Shipping: Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary based on location and logistics. We are not responsible for delays caused by courier partners.
- Returns & Refunds: Non-living products may be returned within 7 days of delivery in unused, original condition. Refunds are processed within 10 working days after inspection. Live products are not eligible for return.
- We reserve the right to modify product availability, pricing, and specifications without prior notice.
8. Academy & Training Programs
Enrolment in TiCi Nature Academy programs is subject to the following conditions:
- Program fees are to be paid in full or as per the instalment schedule at the time of enrolment.
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before the program start date are eligible for a refund minus a processing fee. No refund is applicable for cancellations within 7 days of the start date.
- TiCi NatureLab reserves the right to reschedule or cancel programs due to insufficient enrolment, instructor unavailability, or force majeure events. In such cases, a full refund or transfer to the next batch will be offered.
- Certificates are issued upon successful completion of the program and meeting the required attendance and assessment criteria.
- Program content, curriculum, and schedule are subject to change. Updates will be communicated to enrolled participants.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website including text, images, videos, designs, logos, project photographs, training materials, and course content is the intellectual property of TiCi NatureLab / Life Science Education Trust and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any content from our website without prior written permission.
- Project designs, ecosystem layouts, and proposals shared by TiCi NatureLab remain our intellectual property until full payment is received.
- Client-submitted content (project briefs, photos) remains the property of the client. By submitting it to us, you grant us a limited licence to use it for the purpose of delivering the agreed service.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Our website and its content are provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from viruses or harmful components.
- Ecosystem outcomes depend on environmental conditions, maintenance adherence, and external factors. TiCi NatureLab does not guarantee specific aesthetic or ecological results beyond what is outlined in the project agreement.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, TiCi NatureLab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of our website or services.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from a service shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for that specific service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TiCi NatureLab, Life Science Education Trust, their directors, employees, and associates from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of our services, or violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
12. Termination
TiCi NatureLab reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to our website or services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we reasonably determine violates these Terms, is harmful to our organisation, clients, or third parties, or is otherwise objectionable.
Clients may terminate an ongoing service agreement as per the cancellation terms defined in the project agreement. Early termination may result in forfeiture of advance payments and charges for work completed.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Howrah, West Bengal, India.
We encourage amicable resolution of disputes. In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation before initiating formal legal proceedings.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
